Biography
Victor Carl Pfluger Born in Glendale
Arizona.
Victor attended grade school at Morristown Elementary and now attends Wickenburg High
School. He is 16 years old (d.o.b. 12-09-90) and plans on graduating from high school this
coming spring. He will be accomplishing this two years early. He is gearing
his education to fulfill his dream of becoming an automotive engineer and a professional
race car driver.
Victor began racing at Phoenix Kart Racing
Association in 2002. In 2003 he finished a strong second in points for the Junior
sportsman series and won a championship with Southwest Karting Association. Victor's
accomplishments in karting were helped along by both Chuck Esterline and Michael McDowell.
Victor continues to value his friendships with these two gentlemen.
In September 2003 Victor started racing Dwarf Cars on dirt oval
tracks. He ran his first asphalt road race on the main track at Firebird International
Speedway Thanksgiving of 2003. For this race Victors experience with karts helped
him score a win. At this time he was only 12 years old and his speeds topped over
150 mpg. In 2004 Victor won Nation and Regional titles with ProAutoSports. He came
in 7th in points with the Arizona Dwarf Cars, on dirt ovals. He won his last race at
Canyon Raceway.
In 2004 Victor started racing with the ASA Speed
Truck at St. Johns' Road Course. Again, his karting skills allowed him to
dominate the tight road course of St. Johns. Holding off drivers with year more
experience, Victor's smooth driving style led him into the record books as the youngest
driver in history of the ASA Speed Trucks to win a feature event at only 14 years old.
At the same time Victor also won the MSR Class for the second year, setting a track
record in the process. In late 2005 Victor and Pfluger Racing bought a Late Model.
Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, CA was Victor's first race in the new
division. He started 16th and finished an impressive 4th. Victor won the last
race of the 2005-2006 winter season in the Late Model at I-10 Speedway in Blythe, CA on
April 15, 2006. Victor has also traveled as far away as Redding, Ca. and done very
well.
Victor finished the ASA Speed Truck Series 4th place in the
point standings. Again setting new records Victor is now the youngest driver to
finish the year in the top five points. Victor lives to race and races to live.
The NASCAR Sanctioned Grand National West Series is lowering its age requirements for
drivers in the 2007 season to allow 16 year olds to race. This will be an awesome
step for Victor's career. We have purchased a chassis and are working to gather the
rest of the pieces. We are hoping to run 2-4 races in this series this season.
