Michael McDowell became the youngest driver ever to finish on the podium of a Rolex Series
race with his 2nd-place drive at Barber Motorsports Park, and was the first driver since
Mario Andretti in 1975 to run both an open wheel race and a sports car race in the same
weekend; he won the Mexico City Rolex race from the pole with Memo Gidley on Saturday,
then piloted the Rocketsports Champ Car to an 11th place finish on Sunday
